2. The browser reads and renders the document locally.

4. Validate and download a separate PDF generated in your browser.

Local recovery under your control

Recovery may store the source PDF and editing state in IndexedDB in the current browser. Clear Document removes the current local checkpoint.

Verify local processing

Open the browser Network panel before choosing a test PDF. The source document is processed locally rather than posted to a PDFMech editing endpoint.

Does PDFMech upload my source PDF?

No. Supported PDF editing is designed to run in your browser rather than sending the source document to a PDFMech editing server.

Can PDFMech save recovery data?

Yes. Local recovery may store the source PDF and editing state in this browser on this device. You can clear that checkpoint from the editor.

Does PDFMech need an account?

No. You can open the editor and use supported tools without creating a PDFMech account.

Does downloading replace my original PDF?

No. PDFMech creates a separate edited PDF for download and leaves the original source file unchanged.
